On October 5, 2025, at 5:30 PM, the ancient amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere will be transformed into an exceptional stage for “Symphonies at Sunset” (Sinfonie al Tramonto), the highlight event of the 12th edition of The City Beneath the City (La Città sotto la Città). This is an unmissable opportunity to experience the magic of music immersed in the evocative atmosphere of a millennia-old site.
The protagonist of the evening will be the Domenico Cimarosa Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Ivano Caiazza, featuring the extraordinary voices of soprano Azzurra Terrana and tenor Andrea Calce. The program includes the moving compositions of Offenbach and Morricone, in a perfect blend of operatic and soundtrack music.
